Ghostbusters actor Harold Ramis passed away aged 69

Harold Ramis, best known from his part as Egon Spengler in the blockbuster Ghostbusters has passed away today aged 69, from complications related to autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a disease he has battled for four years.

Ramis, born in Chicago, IL is also well known for several movie hits he has directed in the past such as Caddyshack and Groundhog Day. Ramis is survived by his sons Julian and Daniel, daughter Violet and two grandchildren, he leaves his wife Erica.

A great actor and director that will be missed by his many fans.
