With most of the heroes from Marvel's Avengers having their own movies, what better time than now for sexy lady Scarlett Johansson to have her own Black Widow franchise?

According to film studio president Kevin Feige, the stand-alone movie has been in discussion since 2010 and ideas have been thrown around.

Black Widow has been in both Iron Man 2 and the Avengers movies and will also be cast in the upcoming Captain America sequel which is set for airing in just a couple of months time.

The character Natasha Romanoff as the Black Widow was first introduced as a russian spy and antagonist of Iron Man, later she was introduced as an agent for the superhero spy agency S.H.I.E.L.D.

The Black Widow movie is said to be released sometime after the second Avengers movie, which is scheduled for 2015.
