One of the biggest problems of today is hard-drive storage, you can buy yourself a 1 terabyte hard-drive, but you are still sure to run out of storage sooner or later.
Windows Vista, 7 and Windows 8 all share a similar problem, by default Microsoft Windows will store backups of updates and numerous other things that are otherwise useless and they are not maintained by the operating system automatically.
What can I do?
There are many options available to you, Microsoft Windows has an option for "Disk Clean-up", which you can access easily by right clicking your drive in the Windows Explorer and clicking on properties.
A better and easier alternative is to install Tune-up utilities; a maintenance and clean-up software, it can quickly find and delete useless data on your PC and save you as much as 15 gigabytes of storage space. Tune-up utilities also offer many other options that can help speed up your PC, including defragmentation of your files.
Why don't I just disable auto-backups?
Although your storage is being consumed by backups, it is not a good idea to disable the backup options, there may come a day when those backed up files can help you restore your PC to a stable state.
Make sure that you delete only old backed up files that are no longer needed, for example: backups that are older than two or three months.
