A recent Gmail update will allow users of Google+ to send emails to your Gmail account without knowing your email address. What this means is that you are more likely to begin receiving unwanted emails from random strangers.
The messages will arrive in your Gmail inbox just like any other email; the good news is your email address will not be visible and they will not be able to find your email address unless you send a reply to the stranger.
But don't panic, Google has stated once the new feature goes live, they will send a mass email with a link to a configuration that will allow you to select who may send messages to you.
It does not come as a surprise they are adding a feature that may invade your privacy, Google is well known for scanning your messages so they can provide specific information to advertisement agencies for targeted ads.
